Cedie Lynn Mock's Blog

Cedie Lynn was born on 6/16/05 in Memphis, TN. She arrived 6 wks early. Cedie spent the first 11 & 1/2 months in the hospital. Although she endured many surgeries and spent 2/3 of her life in hospitals, she was a very happy, beautiful little girl who was full of love and who was loved by everyone who met her in person and online. She now watches over all of us as our own little angel.

Our Little Angel

Our little angel went to Heaven around 9:30 this morning. She was a very special little girl and she touched so many lives. We will always cherish the memories she left us with. She was a very happy baby and we wouldn't trade the last 18 months for anything.

Dylan wrote this song back in July 2005 after her first set of surgeries:
Cedie, Cedie I love you
Cedie, Cedie I love you
Pick some flowers
For Cedie
Won't you come home soon

I will never forget this song or her.

We would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support. It meant so much to us to know how loved our daughter was all across this world.

    I was so very sorry when I read about Cedie today. Her life was short but I am sure she has left an impression on everyone's life that will be remembered forever. My prayers are with you and your family at this time and I'm sure that Cedie is already in heaven watching down on you.

    Steve and I grieve with you at the loss of precious little Cedie. We love each of you. While meeting little Cedie only once, it was easy to see what a blessing she brought to your lives. I know how special she was to Aunt Ruby and Uncle Bubba because the love came through in every word they said about her. Rest in the promise that Jesus is our "Prince of Peace" and remember He is faithful.

    I am so terribly heartbroken to read of Cedie's loss. I found her blog through Mighty Max's (I grew up with his mother and Aunt) and have followed Cedie's story closely for months. She was an inspiration to me and impacted so many people's lives in a positive way in her short time here. My heart and my prayers go out to your family in this difficult time. Even though we're strangers and I can't imagine how I could be helpful, I am in the Memphis area and would be glad to do anything I could do to help you make this time easier to bear.     Dear Mock Family,

    I have hesitated to write in for fear of not having the "right" words. Finally, I came to the conclusion that there are no "right" words. I have only followed Cedie's blog for the last month or so. Suffice it to say, I was quickly hooked. Everything about her was absolutely beautiful. What has made me the most sad, is that the world has lost out on having her in it.
    Of course we're sad for your loss as well.You all seem like a wonderful, loving family that Cedie was a special part of. We've come close to losing Tate, and I can't imagine the pain you are feeling. I have shed many tears thinking of your pain and my heart literally aches for all of you.

    Please know you will always be in our prayers. We know that heaven has gotten one very special addition, your precious little Cedie.

    Cedie was so beautiful! I cannot believe how much she had changed since I last saw her in June. She was such a delight. I will pray for you and your family during this trying time.
