We Are Going Home!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes you read right. We are on are way out the door. Her pulmonologist wants her gone by the end of the month! Her lung biopsy results came back and they were normal (for someone who has been on a vent). There were no signs to indicate that she will be vent dependent long term! He is settling with the diagnosis of diastolic dysfunction and will treat as such. She will go home one the vent and will be weened outpatient.
So, now the discharge nurse has to order her home equipment and get her nurses lined up. Chris and I each have to do a 48 hour stay (with 24 hours overlapping each other). The home care company has to train us on her home vent. We've been told that the discharge process typically takes 2 weeks. (which means she will be home before she turns 1!!!!!!!!)
